Land of Boz

No, you may NOT give away those toys just because you’re feeling too lazy to put them away!

Me

It Was Just A Movie, Guys…

The U.S. Congress is looking in to banning medical research on chimpanzees. Sounds to me like someone on Capitol Hill thought Rise of the Planet of the Apes was another of Al Gore’s documentaries…

(Yet Another) Christmas Tree
We bought a new Christmas tree this year. This brings us now to a total of 4, 5 if you count the 2 foot silver thing my wife put in our daughter’s bedroom.
To be fair, our fiber-optic 7 footer has seen better days. It was way cool when we first got it, a decade ago, but now… not so much. When you first turn it on and for the next 5 minutes or so, it sounds very much like a couple of old men passing kidney stones, moaning and nearly screaming as the motor for the light wheel warms up. NOT really Christmas-y, that one.
The replacements we purchased for it (both of them) are less than 5 feet tall. I don’t recall how it was that we came in to possession of TWO 4.5’ trees, but we did. Both are nice trees, pre-lit and “life-like” but not filling the gaping Christmas tree size hole (which is evidently around 7 feet). And, apparently, Ashlee is tired of propping one of them on a booster to give it the appearance of being a normal tree.
So then, here we are, now in possession of this lovely seven-foot-pre-lit-fake-pine-something-or-other tree. Long may it reign!
(Anyone want a 4 foot tree or two, or maybe a larger one that you could use for your haunted forest?)

Filtered Timescape

I find it amusing how the simple application of a filter or two can completely change the feeling of a photo.

Butter-Split Hating Halloween

Halloween 2011

Our daughter, like most children, loves Halloween.

Our dog Butter, not so much…
